Unlock Your Career Potential: Customer Success Meets Data Analysis at Vindicia

Have you ever streamed video content, played in a fantasy sports league, or subscribed to financial data on the web? If so, it's very likely that you already know Vindicia. We power online services for exciting clients like the NBA, the BBC, LifeLock, Angie's List, Chelsea Football, and many others. Our business is growing at an exciting pace, and we're expanding our team to rise to the opportunity.

At Vindicia, we’ve always prided ourselves on using data to help our clients excel. Our business reviews help each client get maximum value from our platform by helping them to understand not only the metrics for their own business, but also how those figures compare to a larger audience. As our business continues to evolve, we want to completely revamp how we’ve delivered this valuable service  and you’re just the person to help us get there.

Vindicia is hiring a Data Warehouse Architect. Passionate about our customers' success, the Data Warehouse Architect will lead the development of the next-gen data warehouse within the services organization.

This role is absolutely central to the value our clients get from Vindicia. Through our business reviews, we provide insight to our clients that they can't get any other way. Typically we present these reviews to C-level and executive VPs  it's that important to their business. Your initial focus will be to improve our ability to develop these reviews and identify ways to make the content even more compelling.

You will be guiding a team to develop the complete data warehouse. This is a hands-on role. We’re big fans of “leading from the front,” so we’ll expect you to be familiar with tools like Tableau and Pentaho. Knowledge of more advanced tools like Hadoop, Hive, etc. is also expected.

Lead the Evolution of Our Data Warehouse

So, what does this really mean? We could fill this description with lots of buzzwords (and that would help our search engine scores), but in the end, you're a good fit for us if you are passionate about building great solutions. Meeting the project where it is, and then guiding it forward is one of your core strengths. As soon as you arrive, you'll start doing this by:

  • Studying and understanding the data model within the production DB, and guide the process to convert that into a functional data mart for use by the reporting team
  • Designing the ETL layer and leading the development using Pentaho and related technologies — you'll develop strategy for normalization of all relevant data across our entire client base
  • Evaluating current reports and analysis and design new versions in Tableau working from the extracted data
  • Working with product management to align this data warehouse and their longer term DW strategy without sacrificing near-term progress
  • Building on domain expertise and industry-leading methodologies to craft long-term development strategy for continued expansion — you'll develop and prioritize a list of recommended improvements to extend the value of the project
  • Crafting and developing a series of internal dashboards and monitoring tools to improve operation of the overall CashBox platform
