Hurst joined Vindicia in 2014 as Vice President and General Counsel and is responsible for all legal affairs of the company. Hurst has over 20 years of experience in a range of industries across Silicon Valley.
Prior to joining Vindicia, Hurst served as General Counsel of Patriot Memory, a leading retailer of flash memory and storage products. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Savi Technology, a leading RFID manufacturer, where he was instrumental in the company’s acquisition by Lockheed Martin in 2006. Hurst continued with Savi following the acquisition, taking on increased responsibilities within Lockheed Martin’s Legal Department.
Prior to Savi, Hurst was General Counsel, North America, for Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), an enterprise-class data storage provider and subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. Prior to that, he worked as Associate General Counsel for transportation provider Emery Worldwide (since acquired by UPS). Before that, Hurst was a litigator at a medium-sized law firm.
Hurst holds a Bachelors degree from the University of California at Davis in Managerial Economics, and a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University.
